ABOUT THE JOURNAL The Zimbabwe Journal of Language and Culture (ZJLC) is the journal of the Social Science Research Consultancy Trust (SSRCT). It is an online journal published four times a year and it seeks to promote the dissemination of ideas, points of view, teaching strategies and research on a variety of language issues in Africa and the rest of the world. The aim of the journal is to present language research in a wide range of areas but in particular, research that is relevant to the particular region that it covers. The journal primarily focuses on language structures, culture and development, language teaching and learning, discourse analysis, corpus linguistics, literature, language planning, translation and interpretation. However, there is room for discussions on the whole spectrum of language and any other language related settings. ZJLC is a peer reviewed journal, published four times a year and material in its entirety is reviewed anonymously by members of the editorial board and guest reviewers. Articles on any topic of relevance may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief at any time. Such articles should follow the conventions set out in the style sheet for contributors to publications of ZJLC. The full text of this journal is available on line via the www.ssrct.net website. Access to the full text is available free of charge to individual and institutional subscribers but a free table of contents alert is always available via email (even without subscription to the journal) which provides automatic notification of new content as soon as it is available on line. The Zimbabwe Journal of Language and Culture (ZJLC) is issuing a call for papers. ZJLC is the journal of the Social Science Research Consultancy Trust (SSRCT). It is an online journal published four times a year and it seeks to promote the dissemination of ideas, points of view, teaching strategies and research on a variety of language issues in Africa and the rest of the world. The journal primarily focuses on language, culture and development in Africa and also in the global context. However, there is room for discussions on the whole spectrum of language i.e. structure, policy, education and usage. The editors are seeking articles that critically examine issues that relate to language learning, culture, language use, language education, literature, language planning, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, bilingualism, translation and interpretation.
